The fantastic 'Go Deep' by revered DJ, vocalist, and producer Dee Diggs on Toucan Sounds is another superb reflection of her musical self, featuring a deep but dynamic house groove and warm bassline. Its soulful vocals are smoky and sensual, bright synths add extra light, and the subtly broken kick pattern keeps things moving as piano chords douse the track. It is a standout cut that, once again, shows Diggs’ outstanding vocal and production skills following her debut solo single ‘Toss It’ on the New York label last summer.

As part of Dee Diggs’ ‘Go Deep’, toucan sounds has enlisted a remix from tastemaker Stefan Ringer. A mainstay of the underground with credits on the likes of NDATAL and his own FWM Entertainment label, Ringer’s version ups the energy levels, with raw percussion making for a driving rhythm. The original vocal glows warm next to
ever-more-energetic fills, broken beats, and wispy synths that bring plenty of futuristic edge.
